  • Toastmasters District 20 (D20) is part of Toastmasters International. District 20, which originally consisted of 7 countries in the Middle East, has seen a phenomenal growth over the past few years. In 2017, D20 has been split into two, Bahrain and Kuwait which are two of the original seven countries have become one district retaining the name District 20.
  • Currently, in District 20 there are 11 Divisions, 181 clubs & about 4120 members including English & Arabic speaking clubs. There are 55 clubs in Qatar, 67 clubs in Bahrain and 59 clubs in Kuwait.
  • Every year, District 20 of Toastmasters International organizes District Annual Toastmasters Conference (D20TAC) in one of the member countries. The participating Toastmasters are the ones that make it through Club contest, Area contest, and Division contests. The winners of the D20TAC will certainly be the ‘Best of the Best’ and will represent D20 at the International contests.

    Learning and Development Manager at Australian College of Kuwait by day, passionate toastmaster by night. A figure that has been twinned with Toastmasters since 2011. She earned her first Distinguished Toastmaster title in 2015 and a second time in 2018. Her leadership quality and willingness to serve members selflessly makes her worthy of her position as a Program Quality Director.

    Just as the creeper counts on sunlight for the direction to grow, and a solid support to latch on to as it does, every club needs a guiding force to give them direction, and a reliable crutch to lean on as they grow. Our Club Growth Director is the perfect amalgamation of WISDOM, PATIENCE, and CLARITY OF VISION that can only come from experience.
    He has served the District ever so diligently as a Logistics Manager, and Public Relations Manager in the past. We wait in excitement to see him in action!

    A seasoned speaker, an affable personality, and an assertive go-getter. She possesses all the competencies of a great Public Relations Manager. What sets her apart is her passion for PR and more importantly, Toastmasters.

    She has been linked with Toastmasters since 2012 and was the Head of Marketing for District 20 Toastmasters Annual Conference 2018 (D20TAC).

    Our District Finance Manager for this term is a Chartered Accountant by profession. His Toastmasters journey began in 2016 with ICAB Toastmasters club in Bahrain.

    His passion for learning, improving his speaking and leadership skills led him to take up various roles at Club, Area, Division and now Finance Manager at the District level.

    He is a man who displayed the true essence of Toastmasters International throughout his tenure through his dedication and sincerity to the members of his district. When one works hard and with utmost passion, results will definitely show. Surely enough, DTM Makhlouf bagged several accolades throughout his toastmasters’ journey including Excellence in Program Quality award from Toastmasters International and Division Director of the year award to name a few.

    He is Maxillofacial Surgeon by Profession but a true Toastmaster at heart. His zest and his zeal toward leadership make him a role model in the eyes of every toastmaster.

    A key player, especially for District 20 officers – The Head of Arabic Clubs Affairs. His journey in Toastmasters International began in 2016. Al Dirwazah Toastmasters Club was his maiden club and became the launch pad for his leap into leadership.

    When asked about his goals for this term, he said that he wanted to make the presence and impact of Arabic clubs felt in District 20, and increase the number of good quality Arabic-English bilingual clubs.
